Let’s just be honest: having little kids means you’re basically living in a constant state of beautiful chaos. From spilled snacks in the car to mystery stains that appear somewhere between breakfast and preschool drop-off, every day is a surprise. As a mom of two under five, I’ve learned to embrace the mess—but that doesn’t mean I’m not prepared for it.
Enter: Tide To Go and a few other Tide lifesavers that live in my “mom survival kit.”
The Tide To Go Pen: My Purse MVP
Let me paint you a picture: You’re heading into the pediatrician’s office. Your toddler just finished a strawberry pouch in the car. You look down and—boom—red splotch all over their shirt and your jeans. Classic.
This is where the Tide To Go Pen earns its superhero cape. A quick dab, rub, and swipe, and the stain is practically gone before we even check in. It’s small enough to live in the side pocket of my diaper bag and strong enough to tackle juice, ketchup, and who-knows-what-else.
I’ve even used it mid-playdate when one of the other moms said, “I really need to get one of those,” and I handed mine over like I was tossing someone a life preserver. Because honestly? It kind of is.
Tide On-the-Go Staples I Always Carry
Besides the Tide Pen, I’ve started keeping a few other essentials with me:
Tide Travel Pods: For weekend trips or that rare overnight at Grandma’s, I throw a couple in a zip bag just in case. You never know when a shirt (or two... or five) will need emergency laundering.
Tide Antibacterial Fabric Spray: This one lives in the trunk of my SUV. After soccer practice or a muddy trip to the park, a quick spritz on car seats, backpacks, and shoes helps everything smell less like outdoors and more like sanity.
Mom Tip: Make a “Stain Emergency Kit” for the Car
It’s not glamorous, but it’s a game-changer. Mine includes:
A small pack of wipes
A gallon ziplock bag (for dirty clothes)
A backup outfit for each kid (trust me)
Hand sanitizer (because always)
Final Thoughts
There are a lot of things I can’t control as a mom. The tantrums, the snack refusals, the 3-outfit days. But with Tide in my corner—especially that magical little pen—I can at least fight the stains with confidence.
If you’re a fellow mom who’s constantly wiping hands, faces, and mystery goo off shirts, do yourself a favor: get a Tide To Go Pen. Actually, get two. One for the diaper bag, and one for the car. You’ll thank me later.
